Tourism: Between the Loire and the Loir… in Loir et Cher….

BLOIS, a town located 33 km away, 55,000 inhabitants, on the banks of the Loire, prefecture of Loir et Cher, is home to the royal castle which was the favorite residence of the Kings of France during the Renaissance. Located in the heart of the city, on the right bank, it combines architecture from the Middle Ages to the Classical period. The castle is now owned by the city of Blois. A sound and light show can be seen during the season from April to October.
